Levkovskaya, S.
EN: Statement of the problem. The rapid development of the construction sector, the latest on new technologies and the many historic architectural sites of the city is such that deserve special attention. Each of them — it's history, culture, great intellectual contribution of a particular creator. But often overlooked specialists are really valuable and unique features in terms of architecture. These buildings are disappearing from the map of the city, so this question remains relevant today.

The aim of the paper is to explore the importance of building a historical value for the city.

Conclusions. Now Nepokoychytskoho estate is in a terrible state. Stairs that previously led to the garden is scattered, they fly away chunks of concrete and plaster. In some places visible metal frame. Despite the fact that people like the house, none taken initiative to repair interesting architectural details. It's not spreading further short articles on various urban sites. For local authorities, this house is no historical value, because it is for residential status. What is measured historical value of buildings? Why authorities drew attention to the status of the building, not to its architectural and artistic value? Why not mod wants to keep the house in 1913? Because I do not want to allocate funds. Many historic sites have been lost due to inactivity city authorities. If we continue to rely on others, who knows how many interesting architectural sites still lose. Maybe it's time to bring the situation under control, to raise funds for materials and revive architectural decoration on the stairs? It will not solve the global problem of decadence Katerynoslav in general, but this move will help save one of the jewels of the city and serve as an example to others, will be something like a chain reaction.

Chudnivets, R.
EN: Statement of the problem. Getting acquainted with the architecture of the city, architecture students watching neglect of historical buildings. The reason — lack of attention to preserve the historical architectural heritage of Dnepropetrovsk, and as a consequence — loss of buildings. This leads to disruption of the integrity of the composition of the city.

The aim of the paper is explore the historical significance of the building and its architectural features in the context of the architectural heritage of Dnepropetrovsk.

Conclusions. Unfortunately, the unique building has long been without serious attention and repair. Year after year the building became even more neglected, crumbling plaster of the walls, fragments of stucco fell off in a pickle balconies and sculptures estate. The saddest thing is that in recent years, even in load–bearing walls of the building cracks.

Today life STI clinic resettled. It seems that the city authorities finally realized that the building is urgently needed repair. House surrounded by ribbons, reminiscent of the reconstruction. But while repairs are not even rozpochynalysya, and who knows when they will be found funds. While there is only hope that contemporary nineteenth century still be restored and will certainly become an architectural adornment of our city.

Architecture and urban planning are an integral part of the holistic development of Ukrainian culture at all stages of social and spiritual development. No wonder they say that people who do not know and do not respect their history has no future. Given the current situation, it is necessary to stop further deterioration of the building in order to preserve the unique historic and architectural urban environment. This is possible by introducing effective emergency measures provided state support.

Makohonova, D.
EN: Problem statement. For Ukrainian the towel stands the talisman with which a man lives from the birth to the last way. By the rectangular shape the towel symbolizes the way, including the way of human life. The towel defended Ukrainian not only in the way, but in their own home, protecting family comfort, household and their homes from evil forces. According to the authors of the article, during the present fateful period it is important and useful to recall the old Ukrainian charms that protected the habitation of our ancestors and gave them the strength to fight enemies.

The analysis of recent research. Thanks to a rich ethnographic collection (including embroidery), collected by D. Yavornytsky’s efforts in a local historical museum, it was done a lot of research of Katerynoslav (and more) embroidery, especially on towels [1–4]. Of course, much attention is devoted to the collection of Yekaterinoslav towels by the museum staff [5].

The purpose of the article is to investigate regional differences of Katerynoslav embroidery on towels provided from the collection of the Dnepropetrovsk Historical Museum.

The conclusions. Historical changes in people's lives could not affect the main way of home decoration — embroidery on towels in particular. It suffered a complex evolutionary change. Embroidery in Katerynoslav province was a complex combination of many factors related to ethnic traditions of peoples living on these lands.
