UK: Досліджуються деякі аспекти вчення про джерело — феномен культури, який має принципове значення для гуманітарного та суспільного знання. Ці знання допомагають людині, що вирішує власні, конкретні, життєві проблеми — політичні, економічні, професійні, національні, родинні — привернути до їх розв’язання досвід, накопичений людством. Джерелознавство, досліджуючи джерела, створені у часі та просторі, вивчає систему відносин: людина — твір — людина. Ця тріада відбиває загальнолюдський феномен: одна людина спілкується з іншою не безпосередньо, а опосередковано, за допомогою твору, створеного іншою людиною, що відображає її особу, її епоху, її соціальне середовище.
