Роль відновлюваної енергетики у забезпеченні енергетичної безпеки України

Abstract

UK: Актуальність теми дослідження зумовлена необхідністю забезпечення енергетичної безпеки України в умовах сучасних геополітичних викликів та енергетичної кризи. Залежність країни від імпорту викопного палива створює значні ризики для стабільності енергопостачання, особливо у період військової агресії. У цьому контексті розвиток відновлюваної енергетики стає стратегічним напрямом, що дозволяє знизити енергетичну залежність, зменшити вуглецеві викиди та сприяти сталому розвитку. Інтеграція відновлюваних джерел енергії у національну енергосистему є ключовою умовою для формування стійкої енергетичної політики, яка відповідає міжнародним зобов’язанням України у сфері декарбонізації та кліматичних змін. Крім того, відновлювана енергетика стимулює технологічний розвиток, сприяє створенню нових робочих місць та підвищенню конкурентоспроможності національної економіки. Це робить дослідження у цій сфері вкрай актуальним для розробки практичних рішень.

EN: The relevance of this research topic is driven by the need to ensure energy security in Ukraine amidst current geopolitical challenges and the energy crisis. The country's dependence on fossil fuel imports creates significant risks to the stability of energy supply, especially during times of military aggression. In this context, the development of renewable energy becomes a strategic direction that allows for reducing energy dependence, lowering carbon emissions, and promoting sustainable development. The integration of renewable energy sources into the national energy system is a key condition for forming a resilient energy policy that aligns with Ukraine's international commitments in the areas of decarbonization and climate change. Moreover, renewable energy stimulates technological development, fosters the creation of new jobs, and enhances the competitiveness of the national economy. This makes research in this area highly relevant for developing practical solutions. As a result of the study, it was proven that energy security is one of the main components of national security. In the difficult geopolitical conditions of Ukraine, ensuring energy security is a very difficult task. Energy dependence on external sources of supply increases the country's vulnerability. Historically, natural gas, oil, coal and peat, were the main imported resources. However, in the context of the European integration course, the green energy sector is actively developing. This is facilitated by the state policy of introducing "green" tariffs and incentives, stimulating investments in solar and wind energy. Τhe current state of development of this sector is not satisfactory. As a result of the war, 80% of wind generation has either been destroyed or is in uncontrolled territory. In addition, there are such obstacles as technical barriers, insufficient investment, the complexity of technical adaptation of the energy sector, the high cost of connecting to electricity grids, etc. Despite the challenges in the context of the destruction of the traditional energy system, renewable energy is the most promising direction of development.
