Практики управління бізнес-процесами підприємств у пост-конфліктних регіонах: стратегії, виклики та рекомендації

Abstract

UK: У статті досліджено практику управління бізнес-процесами підприємств у пост-конфліктних регіонах шляхом аналізу прикладів із різних галузей економіки. Як було виявлено в рамках цього дослідження, постконфліктні умови становлять унікальні за своїм характером виклики для бізнесу, такі як порушення ланцюжків постачання, нестабільна політична ситуація та пошкоджена інфраструктура. Разом із тим, як визначено автором дослідження, ці виклики одночасно можуть передбачати і можливості для зростання та розвитку, особливо для тих підприємств, які здатні адаптувати власні стратегії та методи управління до місцевого контексту. Аналізуючи приклади з пост-конфліктних регіонів, автором статті було поставлено за мету ідентифікувати успішні стратегії управління бізнес-процесами підприємств у відповідному контексті та запропонувати рекомендації, що можуть бути використані та реалізовані за подібних ситуацій, відповідно – і для України як держави, що має пройти комплексний шлях відновлення після російської збройної агресії.

EN: This article examines the management practices of business processes in post-conflict regions by analyzing case studies from different industries. Post-conflict settings present unique challenges for businesses, such as disrupted supply chains, political instability, and damaged infrastructure. However, these challenges also offer opportunities for growth and development, especially for businesses that can adapt their strategies and management practices to the local context. By analyzing examples from post-conflict regions, the study aims to identify successful strategies for managing business processes in such contexts and offer recommendations that can be implemented in similar situations, including Ukraine, as it seeks to recover from the impact of Russian armed aggression. Post-conflict regions are typically characterized by destroyed economic and social structures, weak governance, and damaged infrastructure. For businesses directly impacted by military actions, challenges include rebuilding production facilities, repairing supply chains, and retaining human resources. At the same time, the study argues that post-conflict environments present opportunities for innovation and transformation, particularly for enterprises that can offer employment and help revive local economies. Access to finance is critical to support recovery and expansion under these conditions, especially when markets are disorganized, and infrastructure is damaged. The article presents case studies from countries such as Bosnia and Herzegovina, Rwanda, Iraq, and Colombia, demonstrating how businesses have navigated these challenging environments. The article identifies common challenges, including infrastructure damage, political instability, lack of access to finance, and shortages of skilled labor. It proposes strategies such as forming partnerships with international organizations, engaging with local communities, investing in training and capacity building, and adopting flexible risk management approaches. These strategies, although based on examples from specific countries, offer valuable lessons for Ukraine as it embarks on its post-conflict recovery. In addition, the article highlights the transformative potential of businesses in post-conflict regions and their role in economic recovery. The study recommends focusing on local partnerships, investing in human capital, and adopting flexible business models. Governments and international donors should create enabling environments by simplifying regulations and supporting infrastructure development, ensuring that business-led economic recovery can be both sustainable and inclusive.
